Box

I made this box for my wife.
The piece of wood, Silky Oak, was part of the framework of the elementary school my wife attended as a child, in North Queensland, Australia. Her father, a carpenter, had salvaged it during a renovation project at the school. We brought the piece back to France after a trip there.

Handcut dovetail joints. The bottom is made of poplar plywood.
